The Epcot Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World is a foodie's paradise!
Every autumn, the park hosts the event by setting up a myriad of kiosks, each with small plates from a select country, and inviting special musical guests to perform in the “Eat to the Beat Concert Series“.
I am thankful to say I took part in this splendorous food celebration! Here are the small plates I devoured:
What Is It? Spicy Tuna Poke with Seaweed Salad and Nori Rice
Is it good? Really good! If you like sushi, you will definitely love this bowl. Although I didn't find the dish spicy, it is far from tasteless. The notes of sesame mesh perfectly with the refreshing seaweed salad, nori rice and tuna.
What Is It? Traditional Scottish Lamb Stew with Neeps and Tatties
Is it good? This dish isn't my favorite, but it is not by any means bad. The plate is the heartiest of those I tried! The stew, topped off with pearl onions, has nice chunks of lamb and carrots. The mashed potatoes are good, but the neeps and tatties have an acquired taste.
What Is It? Spicy Hummus Fries with Cucumber, Tomato, Onions and Tzatziki Sauce
Is it good? Good is an understatement! These hummus fries are the ultimate falafel hybrid! The spicy tzatziki sauce and tangy cucumber and tomato salsa-like concoction perfectly compliment the savory, scrumptious hummus fries. Definitely my favorite!
