When Luvvie Ajayi walked onto the BlogHer 17 stage this past June, I instantly fell in love with her authenticity and sensational sense of humor. Luvvie is the type of person that will tell it to you straight. I respect that so much!

I believe diversity is a beautiful and beneficial aspect of American society, and this blog reflects that.
Although I believe immigration must be regulated and carried out through legal means, I highly disagree that it should be discouraged. I commend the recent Super Bowl commercials and Grammy performances that spoke out against the anti-immigration feeling brewing in America.
It is important that we use our rights as Americans to speak out against the policies and regulations that we deem wrongful or unjust. Opposition is a key factor in the running of a democracy.
We cannot be bystanders. We must speak up, no matter our age, race, gender or social status. We are in the millennial era, and we are the present and future of our nation.
I encourage us all to be active citizens, no matter our differing viewpoints. We each have a say in our nation and we have the power to change it. [Read more…]
